Fall Favorites For Home

by | Aug 15, 2022 | Stephens Living

We are creeping into those fall months, which means a new decor aesthetic. Decorating a home for the season is one of the best parts of the holidays. These cooler months are the best time to invite a warmer color palette into your home. Since fall and winter are prime hosting seasons, having a cozy feel to your home is essential! Here are a few of my fall favorites for home.

Simple Throws and Pillows

Decorating the most utilized spaces in your home is a great starting point, such as sofas and beds. Throw pillows and blankets are a great way to transition your decor between seasons. I like to incorporate rich earth tones and cozy textures for the fall months. This Farmhouse Rust Knit Throw Blanket is the perfect autumn color to start layering in your home.

If you lean towards a more neutral decor aesthetic for the seasons, I love these Heathered Boucle Throws. Pillows are where the fun starts to begin because I feel there is more opportunity to express your individual style here. Designer tip, hints of deep blues, and grays to help transition the summer months. Such as this Atilla Pillow Cover or this El Tiempo Pillow that has a knit sweater texture.

Faux Favorites & Wreath Decor

The time of the year when the leaves change from a crisp green to an assortment of burgundy, mustard yellow, and rustic brown. A beautiful color combination that is too good not to incorporate into your fall decor. I highly recommend bringing some of the outdoors inside to get the full fall effect. Starting at the door, this beautiful Faux Fall Leaf Wreath has every color you can imagine for fall. This Pheasant Feather Live Wreath looks like each detail was hand harvested and placed to show off autumn’s true beauty. This Neutral Faux Pampas Grass Wreath is effortlessly chic for a simple western modern look.

I also recommend throwing some faux stems wherever you can that highlight tones of burgundy, deep browns and tans, and rustic metal. This Faux Hydrangea Bundle in Purple would look amazing as a centerpiece on your dining room table or entryway. Layering your faux is also a great way to add texture like these Bundle of 10 Preserved Taupe Flate Ferns with these Bundle of 3 Dried Pampas Natural Grass.

Pumpkin Spice & Everything Nice for Your Kitchen

An important tip to keep in mind is to focus on where you spend most of your time. For me, the kitchen is my homestead. The heart and soul of my home are where my family and I spend quality time enjoying holiday meals. I suggest this adorable Nordic Ware Botanical Pumpkin Loaf Pan for all the tasty treats you plan on cooking up this season. I wait all year for the pumpkin spice recipes to break out, and this Gluten-Free Muffin Mix, Pumpkin Spice is the perfect dish when cooked in this Nordic Ware Nonstick Cast Aluminum Pumpkin Cakelet. All your seasonal pies deserve all the holiday love with these Williams Sonoma Autumn Leaf Piecrust Cutter or this Fall Rolling Impression Pie Crust Cutter. If you are just a little too obsessed with pumpkin and can’t wait to put it on everything, I suggest this delicious Williams Sonoma Pecan Pumpkin Butter.

Rugs & Vases

Floor rugs are always underrated in home decor, but they often bring the whole look of a room together. Depending on your design aesthetic, these can stay out all year. But for the fall, we want to look at those warmer tones. I love this Anastasia Area Rug that has a distressed character and red undertones. If you want to minimize color on the floor, this Layla Area Rug is a subtle warmer grey tone. Create a layered look with matching decor that coordinates with the undertones of your rug. You can throw a vase on any table or shelf in your home! For the fall, I love this Handled Vintage Vase or Cream Vintage Vase. These have a beautiful ceramic finish that would match anything and everything you chose to pair with them.

Fall Scents

Is it really fall if you don’t have a fall candle burning in your home at all times? I don’t think so. Not only is it important for your home to look cozy this season, but it needs to smell like a pumpkin patch or fresh baked cookies. The Les Prestigieuses Max 16 Cuir De Russie Candle will fill your home with the aroma of fresh bark being pinched together. The perfect fall candle doesn’t ex… this Spiced Pumpkin Latte 5-Wick Hearth Candle is the perfect balance of pumpkin, spiced ginger, cinnamon, and clove infused together.

Candles can easily double up and serve as decor like these precious Pinecone Shaped Candles or these Premium Flickering Flameless Wax Pumpkin Candles. Last but not least, maybe my favorite item is this Pumpkin Lidded Recycled Glass Candle that can serve as holiday decor for years after its burn life.
